AA meetings for parole?
Hello, I live in Minnesota, and any real help would be appreciated. I got my second DUI 4 years ago was sentenced to imprisonment and a minor form of alcohol that last a few months, once a week and had to pay and pay fines. I'm on probation until September 2010. I finished the class and have been sober since my last DUI. of course, the class sends a letter to his probation officer with a recommendation. The recommendation was going to AA meetings for a year. I have a busy schedule, and am having difficulty making meetings. I have a meeting tomorrow with my RP and I visit once every 90 days. I have been 7 meetings since my last visit. what I wonder is if the judge did not sentence me to AA meetings and the class does not, yet I have to go be the judge ordered this? I'm just worried for violating his probation and goes to jail again. I brought the idea of AA meetings online and said "no."
If the PO says it is a requirement, then one can violate if you do not attend and bring assistance to the girl. Minnesota, is a strong state of DUI and you're lucky that did not end plates of whiskey. If you break, you could end up in prison and make the program at Lino Lakes. You do not want to lose their freedom. Go to meetings, make time. It is much worse than losing freedom.
