I have a DUI in Indiana during his visit for a day. I live in Chicago. Do I have to get a lawyer from Indiana?
I opened a 09 on the breathalizer, It's my first time being arrested or anything. If I need a lawyer in Indiana, I have to drive there to meet him / her or can we remove it from the phone until my court date? I'm only 21, I do not think it was affected at all, I've never had problems like this before. I'm afraid.
You need a lawyer licensed to practice in the state in which the charges are. Unless you can find a Chicago lawyer who also has a current Indiana license, you will probably have to find one in Indiana. They'll probably want to know atleast once in person, but the user can communicate from home.
